shooting for the stars...

Welcome to Eva’s astronomy website for beginners, your gateway to the wonders of the Universe! My goal here is to make astronomy enjoyable for everyone, by sharing my experience and useful information.
Painting the Starry Night (original art by Van Gogh) and my experience watching the Milky Way at Haleakala introduced me to Astronomy and soon enough spotting objects in the night sky became my hobby. As I explore my artistic side and bring it together with the scientific bend, I thought of this initiative to make astronomy more accessible to younger audiences. There is so much to explore, discover and learn that indeed there is no limit.
I am a Jersey girl, currently studying in the class of 2029. My passion is Visual Arts, I play Cello in the school orchestra and I am a good swimmer. I like Math and I am exploring a blend between Arts and STEM as a career. I am a founding member of Morris Museum Astronomy Youth Club.
How about we start with some fun facts
Did you know that there more stars in the universe than grains of sand on Earth's beaches?
Did you know that:
108 Earths stacked in a line equals distance between Earth and the Sun and
108 Moons stacked in a line equals distance between Earth and the Moon? Fascinating right?
Did you know that even light can’t escape a Black hole?
If you find these interesting then read on and also sign up for my informative workshops on STEM and learning.
